Actor Jon Paul Steuer’s cause of death has been ruled as suicide. Steuer, who began his career as a child actor on Little Giants and Star Trek, died on January 1. He was 33.
According to a report by the publication The Blast, Steuer died from a gunshot wound to the head. The Portland Police Bureau’s spokesman Chris Burley said they suspected no foul play in Steuer’s death, Steuer’s death was announced by his band, P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S., on Facebook in January.
They wrote: “It is with heavy hearts and saddened minds that we announce the passing of our dear friend and singer Jonny Jewels, AKA Jon Paul Steuer.
Alexander Rozhenko in The Next Generation saga of the sci-fi favorite, Quentin Kelly in 90s sitcom Grace Under Fire were the roles played by Steuer.
Also known as Jonny P Jewels when he moved into a career in music and restaurants, Jon died on New Years Day aged just 33. Thousands of fans and friends expressed eulogies after his death was announced.
One of his fans wrote: “Live long and prosper in the heavens” quoting legendary character Dr Spock’s famous saying.
Steuer played the son of Worf in a 1990 episode of “Star Trek: The Next Generation”. He also appeared in By Dawn’s Early Light opposite James Earl Jones that year.
